These terms apply to Studio Eight made-to-order beds, headboards and bed bases purchased through this website. Please check your specification carefully before payment. The full order details shown at checkout form part of your order confirmation.
Pricing & VAT
All prices displayed on the Studio Eight website include VAT. The configurator calculates the product price from the design, size, base type, inner fabric range and trim selected. Where a combination cannot be priced automatically, Studio Eight will provide a separate quotation before the order is confirmed.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of ordering. Payment is taken securely online via Stripe. Your order will enter the made-to-order production process once payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.
Delivery
Mainland UK delivery is charged at £100 per order, regardless of the number of beds, headboards or bases included in that order. Delivery to Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, islands and other non-mainland locations is subject to an individual courier quotation and will be confirmed before the order is finalised.
Lead Time
Our typical manufacturing lead time is approximately 6–8 weeks from order confirmation. This is an estimated manufacturing period rather than a guaranteed delivery date. If a significant delay arises, Studio Eight will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Product Specification & Sizing
Standard sizes are Single, Small Double, Double, King, Super King and Emperor where shown. Emperor beds are available with a Divan or Inset Mattress base only and are not available with an Ottoman base. Custom sizes may be available by quotation. Customers are responsible for checking that the selected dimensions are suitable for the room and that suitable access is available for delivery.
Fabrics & Finishes
We make every effort to represent fabrics and colours accurately online. Screen settings, lighting, velvet pile direction and natural fabric variation can affect appearance. Pattern placement and alignment may vary slightly between products. We recommend viewing a physical fabric sample where an exact colour match is important.
Made-to-Order Changes
Please contact Studio Eight as soon as possible if you need to request a change. Once production has begun, changes may not be possible and may incur additional costs. Any custom sizing or specification outside the standard collection will be confirmed separately before manufacture.
Faults, Damage & Returns
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If an item arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match the confirmed specification, contact Studio Eight promptly with photographs and your order details. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Products should not be returned without first contacting Studio Eight for instructions.
25-Year Guarantee
Studio Eight beds are supplied with a 25-year guarantee covering the structural integrity of the bed frame under normal domestic use. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, upholstery fabric, fading or discolouration, accidental damage, misuse, inappropriate cleaning or maintenance, or changes to the appearance of fabrics through normal use. Components and mechanisms, including Ottoman lifting mechanisms where applicable, are subject to any separate manufacturer warranty applying to those components.
Customer Information
You are responsible for ensuring that measurements, delivery addresses, contact details and other information supplied when ordering are accurate. Studio Eight cannot accept responsibility where an item is unsuitable because incorrect measurements or other information were supplied by the customer.
Access for Delivery
Please check doorways, staircases, corridors, lifts and other restricted access points before ordering. Studio Eight cannot accept responsibility for a correctly supplied product being unable to reach its intended room because adequate access has not been provided.
Statutory Rights
These terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law. Because cancellation and return rights can depend on the exact level of personalisation of an order, any non-standard or individually customised order will be confirmed with the applicable cancellation terms before production begins.
